What I appreciate most about this coaching program is the people behind it.
The coaches are not only friendly and encouraging, but they also genuinely care about each individual. That care is evident in how they take the time to help you maintain proper form and adjust exercises to accommodate any limitations, aches, or pains. They consistently support and motivate you every step of the way. Over time, your workout hour begins to feel less like a class and more like time spent with a supportive gym family.

What sets this program apart from others I’ve tried is the structure.
You train in a small group setting, yet the experience is tailored to your individual goals and needs. While everyone works out together, there is a strong sense of encouragement and camaraderie. I also appreciate the variety—the workouts are continually changing, which keeps things engaging and challenging.

I joined nearly a year ago after recovering from a serious car accident.
Even after completing physical therapy, I knew I still had progress to make. I had lost a significant amount of strength, and my balance was not where it once was. I realized that if I didn’t commit to rebuilding my strength, I might never regain it. Since joining, I’ve been attending about five days a week, and the results have been tremendous. I feel noticeably stronger, my balance and endurance have improved, and others have commented that I look more toned. While I wouldn’t consider myself a “gym person,” I genuinely feel better. I’m now able to handle my farm work independently again, and I’m even sleeping better.

For anyone who may feel hesitant about getting started, I completely understand.
We all had a first day. This is a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where everyone is simply working to maintain and improve their health. We’re all here with the same goal—to become a little stronger and a little healthier each day.

I am so thankful I found goperformace and their program. For years I was stuck in the cycle of yo-yo dieting — lose a few pounds, lose motivation, gain it back, repeat. My energy was in the basement, I couldn’t stay consistent to save my life, and nothing about my body was actually changing — no matter what I tried.

I knew I needed structure. But I also knew I needed somewhere that felt fun, not like a chore I was dreading. I found both.

I am currently 23 pounds down, my body fat has fat dropped and real muscle built — and I actually have visible muscles now. The kind of change I genuinely didn’t think was in the cards for me. My only regret is that I didn’t start sooner.

But here’s the thing — the number on the scale isn’t even my favorite part anymore. My favorite part is that I am that person now. The one who can’t stop talking about the gym. What made you decide to get started?

I was recently introduced to weight training by my fiancee in another state. I enjoyed the challenge and chose to find a gym at home. I passed goPerformance going to work and returning home and decided to stop and check it out. It was after hours, but I accessed the QR code on the door and began to research it that evening. The decision to get started came down to the age focus, semi-private coaching, and the individualized plan development.

What do you enjoy most about training here?

I enjoy the coaches and the other members most. Everyone is always encouraging one another.

What’s felt different about this compared to other gyms or workouts?

The individualized workouts ARE THE DIFFERENCE!!! Other gyms I have felt the need to try to keep pace with people who have been working out for years. But, goPerformance workout programs encourage you to grow from where you are at your own pace to where you do not even know you are capable of growing. The members in the gym push one another in a very positive way without making you feel less than.

How has being consistent impacted you?

WOW!!! Being consistent has caused my body to shape in ways and in places I never thought about shaping. People who have known me for years and even within recent years commented on my development within weeks of being a member of goPerformance. More importantly, I have commented to the man in the mirror about his development. There has also been the absence of a persistent pull within my upper back that I consistently would have massaged twice a month. Being consistent has removed that ache. I feel better than I have in my entire life, and I have been athletically active all my life.

What would you say to someone thinking about joining?

I would say, “Stop thinking. Just do it. Put it in your budget. You are going to pay less now if you do or pay much more later if you do not. You will not only enjoy better health; you will enjoy great relationships.”

We’ve been with GoPerformance since 2020 and it’s become a big part of our lives. While the format may have changed from 24/7 access and group fitness classes, it’s only gotten better. We love the individual, tailored workouts with options for modifications as needed. When Sean had a full knee replacement in 2025, the coaches were able to structure his gym sessions so he could continue building muscle while rehabilitating his knee. In less than a year, he’s back to doing all the activities he loves (and is possibly more flexible now than he’s ever been)!

We also love the coaches and other members – and genuinely look forward to spending time with them each week. Heading to the gym never feels like a chore – the workouts are designed to motivate you and track your growth. Plus, there are frequent informational sessions and friendly competitions to boost nutritional goals and healthy habits.

Now that our kids are older, both attend the group fitness classes for teens. They’re learning to lift safely which will benefit them for the rest of their lives.

We can’t imagine life without GoPerformance. We came for the gym and stayed for so much more!

goperformance has shown me what a gym can be when done right. For the past seven years I’ve been training here and have gained strength, improved mobility, and very importantly, avoided injury. The owners and coaches truly care about member results, not just memberships.

The coaching has been consistently excellent the entire time I’ve come here but the semi-private very small group sessions offer the best of both 1-on-1 and group training. It’s the best training model I’ve experienced at any gym.

You know I love this place because I’ve brought the entire family! My wife now comes with me to semi-private training and my son and daughter participate in the youth classes. The coaches are great with kids and the sessions have helped them with sports and made them comfortable being in a gym.

Seven years later, goperformance is still raising the standard for what I expect from a gym.

With a full-time career and motherhood, I knew I needed built-in accountability—something that would keep me consistent no matter how busy life got. As someone who thrives on structure and process, I was immediately drawn to the LIFT system and how intentional it is. Earlier in my life, I trained as an IFBB Pro Figure competitor, where the focus was largely on aesthetics. Strength training. You need it! That’s what I read and what I heard from doctors, friends and well-meaning family. But I am a runner. I don’t need strength training! I was wrong. So, last April, at age 78, I signed up for strength training at GoPerformance and Fitness in Peachtree City. Time to go to work and get stronger. I quickly realized it wasn’t just lifting something heavy, it was a journey of building better balance, core work, stretching, doing the exercise the correct way and, yes, lifting something heavy. They call it semi-private sessions. I call it good coaches who care, who encourage, and want you to get stronger. I also call them friend. They want me to succeed. For each session, I am greeted by a coach, told what we would work on that day and how to do it properly avoiding injuries, gaining confidence and discovering a foundation of strength and improvement. I discovered that as I aged, I was losing strength, falling more often, dealing with injuries and wondering if I needed to diminish vigorous activity, including running, a sport I love and one where I had been been successful. I did not stop. Instead, I became determined and committed to work hard, enjoy the journey and treat each day an opportunity to get better. It’s working. After 175 sessions, I am getting stronger, more confident, more hopeful for the future, not just a runner, but for quality of life. As a man of “faith,” I believe my best days are ahead of me. Today, my coach said I was “crushing it.” Not sure what that means, but I like it.

I joined Go a few years ago, because I was looking for a change a knew several strong athletes who worked out here. The other clients are friendly and challenge me.
