From Coach Chris:
At the beginning of the summer Luna struggled to squat 115 and by the end was able to do 155 pounds for 6 reps.
Luna’s athletic improvements this summer have obviously been impressive. Every aspect of her training showed significant improvement. What I’m most proud of is how much her work ethic and mindset improved. During a time when it would be easy to settle and be lazy as a high school athlete, not even knowing if she would have a season, Luna consistently showed up at 6:20am five days a week while coming in for a second workout twice a week in the afternoon. She developed a passion for training and self-improvement that will serve her not only in volleyball but for the rest of her life.
From Luna:
I started training at goperformance because some girls I played volleyball with recommended it. When I started training, I wanted to become an all-around better athlete. Jump Sport helped me prepare for the season by giving me more endurance and stamina to get through long rallies and tournaments. Since training at Go Performance I have noticed that I am less fatigued throughout the day and am always wanting to go on the court training the hardest. If I had to describe goperformance in three words, it would be – community, passion and intensity. I think goperformance has impacted me tremendously on and off the court. Not only is it a gym but a family. I know I can always go to trainers for advice and I think that is what puts goperformance a notch above other gyms.
