“I have taken part in a structured workout regimen for most of my adult life, and much of that has been weight training at home or alone in a commercial gym. I have always been athletic, but I have struggled with my weight for the better part of my life. I joined goPerformance several years ago when I moved to Peachtree City, as I needed to find a new gym with 24-hour access due to rotating shift work.
I was immediately impressed with the equipment and the hospitality of Lane and Payden. A few years went by, and after developing friendships with other members of the gym, they convinced me to upgrade and start attending the Adult Strength Classes. Until then, I had never really trained in a group setting and didn’t know what to expect. I have been attending the 5:30 AM classes five days a week for several years and truly love every minute of it. The trainers are always knowledgeable, friendly, and lighthearted, and the other classmates are amazing people of all ages and with diverse backgrounds.
Throughout the years, I have sustained many sports-related injuries and had to get several surgical repairs. As a result of injuries and poor diet, I gained a lot of weight. In February of 2023, after healing from a shoulder surgery, I decided to make significant changes to my diet in an effort to reduce my body fat and increase my overall health. Throughout the following 12 months, I received invaluable advice and feedback from Lane and Noah, who helped me consistently work toward my goals.

“Alexa joined goPerformance with the goal of enhancing her overall athletic abilities including strength and speed while reducing the risk of injury. She particularly enjoys the running and speed work during her training sessions. Since starting at goPerformance, Alexa has noticed significant improvements in her speed and overall strength. In three words, she describes the training sessions as fun, challenging, and competitive. Alexa is a highly motivated young athlete with clear goals which we are dedicated to supporting. At a young age, she recognizes the benefits of incorporating a strength program to maximize her potential and minimize the risk of injury. Alexa enjoys training alongside her friends and teammates, making her training sessions more enjoyable.
Since starting at goPerformance I have truly improved in many of the strength movements. The biggest improvement has been my pull-ups, which went from just one rep to being able to complete several in a row. I enjoy training at goPerformance because of the expertise and encouragement of the coaching staff. My background was in endurance, but I have come to recognize the importance of strength as a female entering the perimenopausal years. One of the things I enjoy about goPerformance is the sense of camaraderie we share. Lane and Payden have created a fun, family friendly supportive environment where like-minded people can support and motivate each other.

“goPerformance has had such a positive impact in my life! When I started private training with Coach Noah in December 2020, I was run down, both physically and emotionally. I had always been athletic and had a work-out routine, but had fallen way off track.
Noah has been extremely supportive. He makes sure my workouts challenge
me, but he also takes into account my limitations from past injuries. He developed a plan with me to strengthen
muscles to help mobility with my bad knees, and he also gave me a nutrition plan and coaching that’s helped me drop more than 25 lbs. He is the best!

“When I started going to goperformance I would work out by myself doing P90X or some other type of video in the corner of the gym. I was able to get some results doing these workouts. After a while they didn’t really motivate me, maybe because I would do them solo. Lane and Payden would often talk to me in between exercises, trying to get me to participate in the classes at goPerformance.
Finally, after my workouts became very stale, I decided to try the classes for a week. I was instantly hooked. Over the years, I had developed some bad habits and technique. Now that I am in the adult training classes, I appreciate the trainers correcting my bad form so that I don’t hurt myself. It really has been nice just showing up and having the trainer already have the workout ready for you to execute. They are constantly changing it up to keep you interested and engaged. In a group setting, you tend to work harder to try and keep up with the others in the class.

“I absolutely love training at goPerformance!
As an active person, I have always been disciplined about my workouts, not only because of playing multiple sports, but especially to prepare for annual archery elk hunts in the Colorado Rockies. All day hiking at high altitude, uneven steep terrain, and with a 40-50 pound backpack demands a high level of fitness. goPerformance has been a terrific gym to help maintain the training and fitness level necessary to handle the physical stress and mental toughness for these 2-3 week trips.
Lane and Payden continually update the equipment and facilities to give members access to the best equipment to help us reach our fitness goals. They also hire knowledgeable and friendly staff, and have created a culture of fitness-oriented members.

“Since training at goPerformance, the most noticeable improvement in my strength is going from barely being able to do a pull-up to getting seven pull-ups during one of our Adult Testing Days. In addition, I’ve seen tremendous gains in both my strict military press and bench press.
I love tracking my workouts on TeambBuilder. I’d never remember all the various weights lifted from week to week, so it’s great to be able to look back at what you’ve lifted previously and work to increase your weight. I think tracking has allowed me to make a lot of the gains, as I’m able to push myself a little more each workout.
I love training at goPerformance. Hands down, it’s the people that make it – both the clients and the trainers. I have met friends through the classes. Working out with positive people make challenging workouts fun, and many times other clients will push you to lift more and make gains you wouldn’t achieve without the encouragement. The trainers are all very knowledgeable, thorough, friendly and help keep you safe and lifting with proper form. I think Lane does a great job of consistently programming thoughtful workouts that build the whole body.

“I started coming to goPerformance after a few friends told me about the adult strength training classes. I was about six months postpartum with my third daughter and was working out at home but not seeing any results nor was I really challenging myself. I have become significantly stronger since I started attending the adult training classes and my muscle mass has increased. Specifically, I’ve seen huge improvements on bench press and can now even do a few pull-ups (which I’ve never been able to do my entire life).
The coaches do an excellent job of making sure I am using proper form and also encouraging me to add more weight when something looks too easy. As a stay-at-home mom with three girls and a husband who travels for work, I attend different class times throughout the week. But no matter which class I show up to, I always feel welcome and surrounded by people who will challenge me.

We’ve tried many gyms in the local area, but after coming to goPerformance, we knew we had found our place. Not only is the coaching staff amazing, the community we have found here doing the Adult Small Group classes is like nothing we’ve found anywhere else. Both of us have consistently grown stronger and have managed to avoid injuries due to the excellent coaching and the instruction we receive here.
All three of our kids have joined us at goPerformance. Each of them has increased in strength and agility and like doing both the group classes and one on one sessions.
