Video #4 – Bench Press Strength and Stability:
If you are doing the movement correctly and you are still having pain, then there’s likely a stability or mobility issue. This restriction prohibits you from getting in the correct position. To create strength for the serratus anterior, you can do three exercises. The first is the floor presses. The second is standing banded presses and the third is the wall walk. Each of these are demonstrated in the video with Lane and Tyler. The last piece of the puzzle is the stabilization. You can increase stabilization with one of the two featured movements in the video – the first a KB on the bench or a banded KB on the bench.
